What We Do
Chaney Billing, Credentialing & Bookkeeping Services is here in New Mexico to provide my expertise to individual practitioners in the processing of credentialing paperwork, insurance or client billing, and bookkeeping. By giving you the choice of what services your business needs, my aim is to keep your business expenses & insurance concerns to a minimum yet maintain profits and free up your time sufficient to support balance between your business and lifestyle goals.

Our Services
BILLING SERVICES
Fee: 10% session/appointment amount collected from appropriate insurance company. Fee is based on the contracted amount with each individual MCO.
Services included in the 10%:
● Insurance verification prior to
session/appointment time
● Insurance pre-authorizations (if
needed)
● Appointment Reminders
● Missed appointment bills to clients
● Set-up, update and maintain EDI &
patient database
● Process all EDI Claims
● Reconcile all ERA & EOP to
client/patient account
● Handle all rejected claims to full
resolution (Should a claim be
unresolvable, the 10% fee will be
waived)
● Collection and posting of co-pays
should clinician request
Invoices will be sent to each clinician per clinician preference.
(Preference indicated on General Agreement/Contract)
CREDENTIALING SERVICES
Fee: $75 per MCO (Managed Care Organization) including Medicaid.
Services included in this rate:
● Complete all paperwork required from
any MCO or EAP that the clinician
requests.
● Once credentialed - complete all
paperwork required from any MCO or
EAP to obtain an “In-Network”
provider
contract with fee negotiation included.

Complete all paperwork required to set up ERA and EFT status
Clinicians will be required to have their CAQH, NPI and Medicaid Provider Numbers before credentialing can begin. We can assist you in setting up your LLC, NPI, EIN, and Medicaid for the same fee listed above. Of course, if you do not want to provide services to Medicaid patients, that number will not be necessary. It should also be noted that the MCO’s that are providers for Medicaid patients will not allow an “In-Network” contract for any provider that will not see Medicaid clients.
BOOKKEEPING SERVICES
Fee: $30 per hour
Services included in this rate:
● Accounts Receivable
● Accounts Payable
● Gross Receipt Sales Tax**
● Personal SSI & Medicare Quarterly
Taxes**
● Bank Account - Receipt posting and
Reconciliation
● P&L or Expense Reports
● Credit Card Statement categorization
**Calculating and Processing both taxes with appropriate agency
About Us
Mari-Anne Chaney - Owner
Chaney Billing, Credentialling, and Bookkeeping Services, LLC
Mari-Anne started at a young age, 16, working as a receptionist in a small local bank. From there she took the next 20 years climbing the corporate ladder in Banking and Finance to make it to a Branch Manager level then Regional Audit team. She left banking to go to work for a local Dentist to run his front office. It is there she learned the ins and outs of running a individual practitioner’s office, including scheduling, calendaring, insurance billing and verification, bookkeeping and file maintenance.
Over the next couple of decades Mari-Anne worked in a variety of offices always staying with smaller based operations and out of the corporate rat race. She loves to serve and be of service to others. She and her husband of 39+ years, their son, and their cat have lived in the Albuquerque Area since October 2015.
In April 2019 she saw a need in the Albuquerque community and opened this business to help clinicians start their own private practices.
